Visit to the world's sunniest capital.

Yes its Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. I can recommend visiting in the summer when the flights arrive and leave on time.
Some of the group I met this trip were worried about the effect the woes of the US and Europe would have on investment into Mongolia. I don't think it would, if anything, it would make Mongolia seem more attractive if a little outside 'the box' of usual investment theories.
A large amount of Western allocations have turned towards emerging markets which are growing rapidly and chosen to ignore the opportunity to find the few good opportunities amongst the bad news in the Western markets. Much has been to India and China historically but now these markets have relatively high valuations.
I think the 'frontier' markets are where value can be found for those brave enough. There is no sign of the 'coal rush' in Mongolia slowing down. The population of Dalanzadgad has doubled in a year - this must create opportunities for those that can find their way there.
