There has always been a debate between the large administrators and the more boutique administrators over which model provides better fund administration services to clients.
Large administrators often tend to outsource their services to lower cost jurisdictions in order to get the economic benefits of scale and lower labour costs. Boutique administrators would often argue that this makes them inflexible, unresponsive and insensitive to client needs.
There is no doubt that large administrators have more resources to provide strong technology which does benefit clients but that often comes at a price that is too high to pay for smaller and medium sized funds looking to generate returns and establish their businesses. Apex is a global administrator that delivers service locally and with the right technology.
This means that we can argue either side of the debate if we need to but we find its best not to get involved and focus on the service we deliver globally.
