The office in Bermuda is one of the largest Apex offices and was opened in September 2003. Since then the region has seen a moving away by the service providers to larger outsourcing centres in Canada where services can be commoditised. Bermuda now only has a few administrators focusing on providing efficient tailored services to clients. Of these Apex is the largest.

With its low tax environment, efficient regulation, an attractive lifestyle, world-class service providers and the convenient location between the US and Europe, Bermuda is well positioned for further growth.

 The main challenge Bermuda faces is that most of the world's growth is being driven by the Asian economies. It is hard for fund managers to be able to assess these markets when they are a long way from the action. Latin America is a growth area and this may be an alternative market that managers could tap into.

 The current lack of liquidity in the global markets makes it very difficult for asset managers to grow their businesses at the moment and Apex continually looks to help its clients.
