Two other Cork companies that are looking east are Avego and Apex Fund Services. Apex, owned by Peter Hughes and John Bohan, is a  niche player in fund services that Hughes started in Bermuda in 2003.  The company employs 18 people at its Ireland office in Midleton, which  pened in 2007, and Apex is also active in 11 other locations  including Bermuda, Dubai, Isle of Man and Cyprus. Apex, with 180  employees in the group, offers fund administration services, corporate services and transfer agency services, in addition to advice on fund  launches, restructuring and raising capital.
